With the production and pizazz of an 70s VHS (and all the static too), Flushing, Queens rapper/TV Personality/Chef Action Bronson released “The Chairman’s Intent,” a single from his upcoming project Blue Chips 7000.
Keeping with his fondness for eccentricity and overproduced visuals, “The Chairman’s Intent” sees Bronson star in his own Kung Fu themed film, rife with death-defying action sequences and thrilling hand-to-hand combat. The video was directed by Rik Cordero, a fellow Queens native who has worked with other NY rooted artists Nas and Jay-Z, as well as The Roots and the Wu-Tang Clan.
Known for his pop culture tinged lyrics, boisterous personality and equally massive appetite, Bronson has kept busy with radio appearances with the like of Funk Flex and other, as well as features, namely those with frequent collaborator Meyhem Lauren. Although his album has been in label-owned purgatory since its original release date June 23, on July 27, 2017, Bronson announced that (should everything go to plan) Blue Chips 7000 will release on August 25, 2017.
